Is it beneficial to give my koi treat foods?
Treat foods are an ideal way to add variety to your koi's diet, and to increase your enjoyment of feeding them. However, because treat foods are nutritionally incomplete and often result in high waste production, they should be fed in moderation. We would recommend that treats make up no more than 5% of your koi's overall diet. An alternative to traditional treat foods is TetraPond Treats, which are hand-held extruded treats that produce very little waste and contain additional vitamins. |
