What size pellet do I need for my koi?

As koi grow they are able to consume larger food items. Fish in general prefer to consume larger food items, as this is more energy efficient (as they only need eat a few larger pellets compared to lots of smaller ones). In addition, it takes less time for them to consume a few large pellets, meaning that they spend less time in the water. This helps to reduce the leaching of nutrients.

KoiExcellence is available in two sizes, 3-4mm for fish up to 30-40cm, and 7-10mm for fish over this size. A mixture of these can be fed if you have different sizes of koi.
