At what times of the year should I feed the different KoiExcellence diets?
- KoiExcellence Complete is ideal for year-round feeding, providing the water temperature is above 10°C.
- KoiExcellence Performance contains higher protein and energy levels, to make it easier to provide koi with the additional nutrition they require at warmer temperatures. Because it is more nutrient-dense it is more efficiently turned into body mass, meaning that additional growth can be achieved with less waste. KoiExcellence Performance also contains higher levels of colour enhancers, making it ideal for getting koi into top condition.
- KoiExcellence Wheatgerm is specifically formulated for feeding at cooler times of the year, when the water temperature is below 10°C. Wheatgerm is highly digestible at cooler temperatures, and contains higher fibre levels for aiding the digestive process. In addition it contains highly unsaturated fatty acids for maintaining cell membrane function at cold temperatures. KoiExcellence Wheatgerm should be fed whenever the koi are active and looking for food during the winter.
